Reflection of the week: The Art of Allowing Disintegration

We are approaching the end of the Quarter of Duality. In a few days, we enter the Quarter of Mutation, the final quarter of the Human Design yearly cycle.

There is something quite significant about this transition.

The energetic weather of these times seems to be asking something of us that is not particularly easy: to embrace life as it presents itself, and to meet it without immediately trying to change, correct or rescue it.

And what we are being asked to meet at this particular moment is not necessarily a pretty picture. Socially, economically, politically and intellectually, we are witnessing forms of decline and disintegration. Structures that have organized human interaction for centuries, are showing their finality. The globalized world, with its promises of endless expansion, connectivity and progress, is entering a profound process of disintegration.

There is very little sense in trying to preserve something simply because we have become accustomed to it. Sometimes, the attempt to save what is already dying only prolongs the process and prevents something else from emerging.

Perhaps the energy of resurrection does not come from resistance, but from acceptance. From allowing things to reach their natural conclusion. From meeting what is happening without the constant impulse to restore the familiar.

In a couple of days, we enter the Quarter of Mutation. In the Human Design framework, this quarter is oriented towards what remains when we confront death and the impermanence of form. When the structures we identify with fall away, what is left is awareness itself. The part of us that is not reducible to the forms through which we experience life.

This is not merely an abstract philosophical proposition. It touches the very foundations of our identity.

Our identification with form, in all its dimensions - our bodies, thoughts, emotions, relationships, social roles, beliefs, achievements and the structures we call our lives - is being challenged. And this is the music we will be facing over the coming three months, leading us towards the end of the current global cycle of over 400 years and the emergence of the next one.

I would invite you to participate in this transition in a deeply personal way.

Autumn is a wonderful teacher in this respect. The leaves change colour, fall and return to the earth. They do not negotiate with the tree about remaining a little longer. They do not interpret their disappearance as a failure. There is an intelligence in this process that we might learn something from.

Something much larger is unfolding around us. A very long cycle of human interaction, which culminated in the globalization of our world, is disintegrating before our eyes. Allowing its disappearance without excessive attachment may well be one of the arts we need to cultivate - not only collectively, but also in our own individual lives.

What are you still trying to preserve that might have already completed its purpose? What becomes possible when you stop trying to hold things together?

Embody Your Design - Starting January 18, 2027

On a related note, I would like to remind you that I am opening a year-long online process on January 18, 2027: Embody Your Design.

This is an invitation to put Human Design at the service of our awareness process, rather than simply accumulating more knowledge about our energetic architecture.

We will explore our conditioning and the formation of our character through the lens of Human Design, including the layers of childhood experience that continue to shape how we perceive ourselves and engage with the world.

The process will include guided meditations, active meditations, ecstatic dance, guided inner explorations, journaling and therapeutic inquiry. It is an opportunity to move beyond understanding our design intellectually and towards experiencing, embodying and integrating it.

If this resonates with you and you would like to explore whether this process is right for you, feel free to get in touch. We can arrange a conversation.

In the meantime, I invite you to fall into autumn. Allow yourself to participate in the season, and perhaps in the larger process it reflects.

Sometimes, the most profound act of awareness is simply to let go.
